bLANK canvas productions presents the skriker by caryl churchill
(Wednesday 2nd - Saturday 5th November)
“Nobody loves me but at least it’s a sunny day. This has been a comfort to people as long as they’ve existed. But it’s not available any more. Sorry. Nobody loves me and the sun’s going to kill me…Some people might feel concerned about that. But it makes me feel important."
In a broken world, two girls meet an extraordinary creature. It is the Skriker. A shape-shifter, a havoc-wreaker, and death portent; the Skriker is unstoppable and she has come from the faerie underworld to hunt. At once terrifying and enigmatic, the Skriker is hard to resist but Josie and Lily must try their best to keep a hold on each other and themselves.
Blank Canvas Productions, in association with ETC, will chew up time and space in the Michael Pilch Studio in 4th Week Michaelmas. Warning: young mothers and babies should consider staying at home.
