1263 productions presents the Balliol Play: The goat, or who is sylvia? by edward albee
(Wednesday 11th - Saturday 14th May, 7:30pm)
“He’s a decent, liberal, right-thinking, talented, famous, gentle man, who right now would appear to be fucking a goat.”
Balliol College are proud to announce their production of The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?. Following on from the success of last year’s 'Playlliol', we’re excited to continue with another all Balliol cast and crew.
This is the tale of a married, middle-aged architect, Martin, his wife Stevie and their son Billy, whose lives crumble when Martin falls in love with a goat.
Edward Albee’s 2002 play is a striking theatrical experience. The story offers its audience sincere tragedy born of conceits that are shocking, absurd and ultimately comic. It is a play about deviance that calls into question the guiding principles of our moral and domestic lives.
