BRINK // by Alasdair Curtis // 7th Week MT18
1 Day. 6 Extraordinary Lives.
Nitrous Cow Productions (Lovesong, The Crocodile) are proud to present Alastair Curtis’s epic new play. Featuring movement, and live sound design, BRINK unfolds in the heart of London over the course of 24 hours. It charts the lives of six characters, each longing for lives different from their own:
A graffiti writer reaches for new heights
A school teacher is pursued by her obsessions.
A man fixates on his body’s limitations, a woman on the litter she finds on her estate.
A mother spends her nights fantasising about catastrophe.
And in the aftermath of a drunken party, a teenage girl realises she no longer knows what she wants from life, or what life wants from her.
This is a city of extremes where individuals become their own worst enemy. The gaps between them stretch out until they seem impossible to broach. These characters live in search connection, on the edge of monumental change.
